This is the top 50 Rust servers by player votes - not an editorial pick and not a paid placement. Every vote comes from a Steam-authenticated account, capped at one per person per server per day, so the ranking reflects players who came back and voted again rather than a one-off traffic spike.

Votes measure enthusiasm; the star rating next to each server measures satisfaction, and the two do not always agree. A server can farm votes through in-game reward plugins while sitting on a mediocre rating, so it is worth checking both columns, then opening the server page for its 24-hour player graph to see whether the population actually matches the hype.
